Is it possible to think I'm both? I'm confident at times and self-conscious at other times. It really depends on the situation.

Smooches;)

I'm really self conscious, Sometimes i act really loud to cover it up and make the jokes before others do about my short comings too

other times i just hide in the corner....

i guess it depends on my alcohol consumption eek

i hate walking into anywhere first if I'm in a group and hate eating with strangers.

the thing was i used to be a really confident person, i used to be a dancer and worried about nothing, i guess things change.

I'd have to say both. It varies from situation to situation. But, I'm usually brave enough to overcome the self-conciousness. smile

Very self-conscious. I try to work on it but I just have such a timid nature, it's difficult to overcome.

You sound like a yummy candy! drool3 wink

Seriously, though I do understand what you mean. It seems many naturally tender-hearted people, who are the most gentle, kind souls inside, are more brusque or 'hard' on the outside/exterior...for protection, I guess? But once you get past the hard outer shell, you've found gold! I've known people like that - one was a boss of mine (later, a friend). He made me so nervous at first, until I got past the gruffer outer exterior and discovered how sweet of a person he actually was... kind of shy and reserved, even, when he was not at work.

I myself am a Pisces. Pretty much timid, shy and self-conscious through & through. lol

It sounds like you have some anxiety Lollypop. Dont worry, you are not the lone ranger.

It's important to battle through those moments cos you will feel better later.
