Le Coq Sportif I don't have many vices, but I've got a soft spot for clothing.
I SOOOOO love the Le Coq Sportif brand of sportswear, but it hasn't been widely sold in the U.S. since the late '80s. Anyone live in a place that sells this stuff? I could make it worth your while to do some shopping for me -- I'd cover shipping and all, of course. [Edited 8/30/04 18:35pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Amazon.com has a selection of their shoes, if that helps.

Cool! Thanks. I really dig their windbreakers, now I wish I could find a place selling those.

I was born and raised in a city where lots of American families used to live, that was during the Cold War when you had thousands of American people, their PX, theaters, BYA , elementary and high school over here...anyway, to make a long story short, I used to play basketball with this girl named Keisha, and one day we were talking about the flyest sneakers, remember this was way back in the 80s when RunDMC were praising their Adidas and shelltoes were kind of underground...well, I asked her if she knew Le Coq Sportif, and she started laughing and wanted to hear the name again, and I said " Le Coq Sportif...they have a cock on the side ...that cock gives the brand its name , the sportive cock blablabla" She didn´t really have a clue what I was trying to describe and wasn´t familiar with that brand ( a few years later the "Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff" were sporting them). I mean, we were still young and naive teenagers, probably twelve or thirteen, and I was slowly picking up certain English slang words, thinking about a rooster when I said "cock", but that´s how I first learned the double meaning of cock. Strange, but true.... [Edited 8/31/04 13:09pm] [Edited 8/31/04 13:10pm] " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs!
