You do know that the official Region 2 DVD box set of season 1 that was released in Europe last year has the Pilot, right? Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I once did a story on a guy who is the biggest seller of Twin Peaks memorabilia in the world. His name is Bruce Phillips and he lives in Canton, Mich. I bought a Bookhouse Boys patch from him!

It was a great show at first that ran out of steam in latter episodes imho. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Since everyone here adores this show, this is probably not the place to say it but I can not watch TWIN PEAKS because of its mysoginist (woman-hating) elements. I respect David Lynch as a filmmaker and really dig his style and I also dug Twin Peaks a lot when it first came out. But Twin Peaks was way too heavy on the woman-stalking, woman killing, woman-as-victim theme. I can't stomach that crap, find no joy in it, and its hardly necessary considering we have loads and loads of movies and TV shows that fulfill our cravings to see women brutalized. In that sense, his work is NOT original, not thought provoking, and not fun.

My That's like saying lesbians can't be serial killers (anyone remember the furore over Basic Instinct? - All these pro-active gay groups came out against it, and Im like - WTF, get a grip!) Sometimes people just need 2 chill and realise it's JUST a story, and nothing else.

My I understand your feelings, but I don't agree. I think the show (and much of Lynch's work) depicts MEN in the negative (as stalkers, killers, etc), and these men usually pay for their actions. Still, there are plenty of strong women on the series (Audrey, Norma, Annie) who defy their tormentors. Heck, even Lauran Palmer herslef, while a victim, is defiant. BoB kills her because she won't allow him to possess her. Her defiance, in spite of her many faults, is with her until the end. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
