NATURE BOY - David Bowie / Massive Attack

yes

( This story is about Love, the woman I Loved is dead. )

There was a boy
A very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he

rose

And then one day
A magic day he passed my way
And while we spoke of many things
Fools and kings
This he said to me

heart

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to Love and be Loved in return"

dove
( I Love You )
Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

I love this song! Vanity sang a version of this for the Friday The 13th series' episode entitled "Mesmer's Bauble". It was lovely.... Thanks for posting the lyrics...been looking for them everywhere. wink

See, you did it. That was a simple start. Now go deeper, get specific; i.e. I want someone I will see every day, I want someone who will call me, I want someone who is faithful, etc. Knowing what you don't want is fine, just help that define what you do want, and turn the language around.

eek I never thought about getting THAT specific. If I do that, I'm afraid that I will want a fantasy person. Someone that will never exist

I think that is what madartista is getting at. Do you see what you are saying there? You're afraid that those qualities themselves don't exist! Do you really think that someone that is faithful exists only in fantasy? Someone who will call you?

Seeing each other everyday doesn't last long, unless you live together... But those other two things are not too much to ask.

Ok, I'm done butting in. mr.green

I just realized that I'm talking more about relationships than love, maybe because a relationship is the first step to love. I changed the title

hmmm I don't know if I think those qualities don't exist it's just it's difficult to find a person I really want

disbelief I'm sorry Byron, but I can't do that. I think I am incapable of just falling in love with someone I'm not...well let me think about tha one...

For me..I can't--won't--enter into a relationship with someone I don't love passionately, that I'm not truly in love with. I've had that before, and it was unfulfilling and empty too many times. That type of love rarely just develops over time...so for me, it's all about chemistry and connection between me and another. I want to know that's there, that it exists, that it's powerful, intense, real...if it is, we'll naturally begin to spend more and more time with each other, interacting, communcating, sharing ourselves...and only at that point will the idea and possibility of beginning a relationship with that person take hold within me.
