if you don't pump it your titties milk ducts will swell and be very painful. then over time, with ice, they will go down and stop lactating. as long as a woman pumps her breasts(though its easier for a woman who already has kids) she will have milk. some women after they have kids, when they ovulate their breasts produce a little bit of milk, but not enough to be important.

this is gross but i read about a woman who was on trial for molesting her child because she was still breastfeeding her son and he was 9 years old and embarrassed about it.

Go see a doctor, maybe that's not normal. If you express all you'll do is keep up the supply - your boobs will think milk is needed and will keep producing more, so leave them alone!

You need to get to a doctor for real!! Lactating without being pregnant could be a sign of breast cancer or abnormal breast tissue. You really need to get that checked out, even if you feel okay. Mention it to your doctor and if he/she doesn't listen then go to another doctor.

Lacation is controlled hormonally, following birth hormones are upregulated to stimulate lactation. Any degree of external stimulation will give rise to nothing. Any lactation at any other time may be due to hormonal imballance and should be addressed by your doctor. Kind of a stupid thread, but I don't want anybody to go off and try it, you might hurt yerselves.

uum Z you need to see a doctor. If you are not pregnant or have never had a child then chances are that is NOT milk. See if you are consistently leaking fluid from your nipple and you have not expressed the milk out, the hormones in your body SHOULD tell you to stop making milk.

As far as leaking is concerned how much is coming out?? Drips, a stream?? And how often in a 24hr period does this happen?? All question your physician is going to ask you

Lastly breast milk is NOT creamy or thick. It is watery and a very pale colour and should be sweet in odor and taste.

OOh and I would not worry about it staying in the body if it IS milk.. the body will just absorb is all.

Hope this helps some
