the GIMME GIMME GIMME appreciation thread

Jonathan Harvey's sitcom GIMME GIMME GIMME is one of the funniest british sitcoms in my opinion.

Kathy Burke and James Dreyfus: just brilliant.

this is a pic from one my favourite episodes: SINGING IN THE DRAIN

THE LOLLIPOP COMETH (Tom as an actor in the fire station) is just fantast too.

i know there are some fans here on the org because of quotes i notice in your posts. and also a pic here and there.

let's share some quotes and laugh !

but GIMME GIMME GIMME is fabulous! I love it. Did you know I have season one on BBCDVD but I am sorry I got one that lacks subtitles cuz I never understand a word of what Linda is saying?

When this show is funny, it's hilarious but when it's bad, it's really, really, really bad.

This show is absolutely great. My mom brought it to my attention after she and my brother
had seen the first ever episode and laughed themselves into a frenzy.

Indeed, the last season contained a few amazingly good shows, but also some pretty bad
ones. I'm sorry they haven't made any other episodes since.

The Millennium special was great too. "Timothy Tree" and the "Christmas Fairy" and Linda
blaming her upset stomach (from galons of punch) on "that bit of milk I had in my tea
this morning" make it for one of the best ever.

I love her sny remarks and the way she's overthetop vulgar (twitching her legs with a hand
up her skirt, remarking "oh I got something in me eye")

biggrin

I've looked everywhere for the dvd's from this show but I can't find them sad
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
