Which one do you prefere and why?

I prefer personal conversation.. nod There are people online I'd like to speak with directly but timezones, expense etc preclude that.
if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

Agree...hearing a person's voice, the inflections when they speak, hearing the happiness, the laughter, the sadness, whatever the emotion...eclipses the interaction you have on the internet (which is just as valid, only not as fully realized and experienced). I use "lol" and smiles and whatever emoticon code I can think of to try and convey the tone of voice I'm using in real life as I type my conversations to someone...to give them a slightly more "real life" convo with me. smile

Personal. Better interaction and more ways to express yourself. I also suck at typing.

I believe we should make the most of our communication skills whilst we still have them.

I would hate to go blind and not see a smile again...

or go deaf and not hear laughter...

or lose the power of speech and not be able to say sorry...

Language is far much more than words..

I prefer interpersonal conversation to online anyday, anytime - but I far prefer online discussion to talking on the phone. nod

Right on the money thumbs up!

I have been misunderstood so many times and I've also misunderstood others, because the real meaning behind what was trying to be conveyed was lost in the typed word.

that was beautiful.....

as for me, I also prefer personal, but it´s interesting how much time we spend on the net instead of going out and being with someone. And WHY do we do that? It seems that people aare not as close as they used to be without all this technology....
