.avi files

Hello there,

I've recently downloaded a few AVI video files of Prince in action. However, when I go to play them (in WinAMP/Windows Media player), there is no picture, only sound.

Does anybody out there know what's going on and can be kind enough to tell me how to get that picture back?

Cheers in advance!

Okay, here we go: strip down your mother board until you expose the RAM cache of your data buffer (this is a PC, right? You running Windowpane's 2000XL?)

Anyway, whatever your platform, you'll need a systems reboot that coordinates with your data packet "flow"(it's not really a "flow"; that's just jargon we computer experts use). Start by going to Computer---> Base function--> track explorer---neutral; and unload whatever Zip files weren't damaged by your modem signature.

Then just recordinate WMP with your data drive and that should do the trick.

You meanie, can't you EVER be serious? I'd hate to have sex with you biggrin lol

Lordy, you need a codec. Get the proggie AVIcodec or G-spot and run the files in it, they'll tell you which codec's missing. Good luck.

Thanx teacher,

I thought the first response was a tad OTT. I mean u don't 'recordinate WMP with your data drive'. It's with the binary drive of course. Ahem.

Thanx again and like yer icon. Tres vamperish

Try installing the latest DIVX and XVID codecs. Both are free, just do a search for them.

*in Butt Head voice* "Heh, heh...he said strip."
*in Beavis voice* "Yeah, yeah...your data packet flows...."
"Pedro offers you his protection."

MrJoker

Same thing happened to me a while back. I went to www.divx.com and got an updated codec and then everything was happy. smile
