Well, I guess depending on what website you use for your information, you could have found 35, but whatever website it is, it's wrong. . For instance the BBC, whose information I would normally have faith in, have the following errors on their website : Equestrian as 3 separate sports (dressage, eventing and showjumping) Wrestling as 2 (greco-roman and freestyle) Volleyball as 2 (volleyball and beach) Canoeing as 2 (flatwater and slalom) Cycling as 2 (road and track), giving them a total list of 40 sports. It's not really important I suppose, but equestrian is considered all one sport, just like athletics, regardless of the number of events that make it up, ditto canoeing, wrestling, volleyball and cycling. I'll bet you got your information from an olympic schedule in which the opening ceremony was listed - and that's where your 35th 'sport' comes from. Now, if I'm right, that's got to be worth 2 sandwiches. (preferred sandwich is avocado and banana with baby spinach leaves, pine nuts and parmigiano shavings, drizzled with balsamic vinegar and chile oil, served on triple grain bread, no butter, margarine, mayonnaise, or other slimy substances). And, on a totally different subject, it's taken me about 40 minutes to post this reply because Microsoft Exploder keeps exploding. I'm still learning how to spell.
