It don't open in Denmark until No-friggin'-vember!
I wanna see it, good or bad - I'll make my own judgment call. I'm in complete scififilmnerd mode. Ijust saw and loved The Chronicles of Riddick because it was a visual feast and I was entertained by it, unlike the utterly boring Spider-Man 2. I saw The Abyss Special Edition today for the first time in a long while and still love it, and tonight I wannna watch Terminator 3. And I finally succumbed to buying Alien Quadrilogy and am really looking forward to getting started on that. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

I love the first two Alien films and the first Predator. The other Alien sequels nearly ruined it for me. Because of that, I will be avoiding this one in theatres. As much as I love sci-fi, this doesn't look very entertaining.

Anything with the words "Vs" in the title is gonna be shit (...them's the rules) I hate it when they mix 2 unrelated movie universes like that ...and no, I don't care how good the comics may have been, it's still a crap idea that totally negates the far more interesting and mysterious real backstory of the Aliens themselves. Instead, turning them into 'animals' for Predators to hunt as a right of passage or sport or whatever. The 'aliens' were cool, strange otherworldly creations with masses of potential and now they've just descended into yet another b-movie monster. ...but its NOT a crap idea. The original comic series was quite good, and did an excellent job of blending the two different species. They still managed to preserve the mystery of BOTH species. In fact, the first story deepened both, when a few biological commonalities were discovered between the two. The only thing that it established was that the Predators hunt the Aliens as well as the humans. I do see your point though, even though I often enjoy the "vs" movies myself. This one, I did not. That wasn't Bishop (besides, Bishop was an android, so who's to say when he was "born"). The character was Charles Bishop Weyland, ancestor to the creator of the Bishop android. He is also the founder of the company that will eventually evolve into the one Ripley works for. This at least explains why the company knew of the existence of these creatures in Alien. I actually liked this touch So he looked exactly like his great great great great, etc. grandson? "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

1.The pyramid was 2,000 feet below sea level. Wouldn't the pressure down there have killed them? 2. As the one Predator was busy getting killed by the mother Alien, how come none of the other Predators jumped off the ship which was nearby behind a cloaking device & assisted him?? Good points. The pressure would have definitely had an effect. And it would have taken them much longer to get down there. And deservedly so. But, sure, I can see how someone who expected a remake of Aliens would hate it. I like it that they are very different flicks. Also, Alien3 made Sigourney Weaver/Ripley a gay icon beyond compare over here. For some reason, all the lesbians tripped on that movie. Sure, I'd also like to know where the eggs came from, but beyond that, it was an emotional tour-de-force. The plot-holes in Alien Resurrection were much larger and downright stupid. Yet, I also kind of like Alien Resurrection, if for no other reason than that I think the set-design is absolutely amazingly pretty. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Well, maybe me calling all 'Vs' movies 'shit' was a bit harsh, but you know what I mean. 'Vs' movies are the domain of the b-movie (of course I actually enjoy a lot of b-movies) but it's so not the direction that I wanted to see Alien go. These monster mashes and 'what if' team ups work well in comic form, but they very rarely work on the big screen. There's just something about it that annoys me when they mix 2 or more unrelated imagined universes together in movies. It always seems to 'cheapen' it somehow. It just annoyed me that the Alien had become part of the Predator's universe, when they should have remained at the top of the food chain in their own (so to speak).
