Dansa's going to D.C.! yep folks, that's right--next week i'm gonna be goin to washington, d.c. for this conference i get to go to for my job. i'll be there for about 4 days...this is so weird too, because i've never been to d.c. before. hell, i've never been anywhere outside of the midwest before, for that matter.
anyway, is there anyone here from the d.c. area? i know of one person who lives there (SquarePeg)...plus i wanna know what it's generally like over there, besides the white house being there and all that chit. and yes, i will be taking a camera with me so you'll see a pic or two soon enough.

The National Zoo is FREE! It's wonderful too! Be sure to visit the Smithsonian Buildings and it's too damn bad it's not Cherry Blossom season because it's beautiful there that time of year. I've been to Washington several times and have loved it each time. There's so much to see. Have fun and be careful!

the org should sponser Deja to travel to a different location every week so we can do a "Where in the World is HandClaps"? kinda thing like they do with Matt Lauer on the "Today" Show sometimes. Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Sounds like you'll be there just prior to the 41st Anniversary of the March On Washington which featured Dr. Martin Luther King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech (August 28, 1963).

I was just in DC speaking at a conference. I like DC...it's just frustrating finding my way 'round town. Check out H20...it's the hottest club right now...well of many. DC nightlife is one o' the best! If you like it so much, you can buy a dinkie one bedroom condo for 800,000. Not bad..... :-0
