I'm having bachelor party drama...

Next week i'm having a bachelor party for my little brother. He's 10 yrs younger than me, and asked me to be his best man.

The problem is, at this stage in my life, i've committed myself to living a more christian lifestyle. I stopped drinking alcohol, go to church regularly, and am a devoted family man.
Which is NOT to say that i'm a boring individual, cause I still party my butt off. dancing jig wink

This bachelor party already is turning into a big mess...two of my brothers groomsmen have backed out of the wedding, causing friction between them. They both aren't invited to the party...one is a longtime friend, the other a cousin.

Because tradition dictates it...I've placed another of his friends in charge of finding strippers to dance at the party. I've got no idea how much that is going to cost me, yet.

I'm providing a keg, pizza, and the stippers...did i mention that i'm not working right now?
I've got the funds to pay for this, but its a tough pill to swallow, because I don't agree with
it on a moral level.

Just my rant for the day...

What would you do?

I'm thinking of paying for the food, drink, and entertainment, but bailing on the party...
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Ahh, let them have a good time. Just stick to your christian values for yourself, good for you. They may not have the same beliefs as you but that's okay. Just go and have a fun time, you don't have to drink or partake in the stripping. You can always leave at an appropriate time before the strippers come. If you don't want to go then let it be known to the celebrant and others so that way no offense taken. If they snub you because of those values of yours then that's not your loss.

I know it's a bachelor party and all, but are strippers obligatory?

What about a nice string quartet?

Don't pay for any damn strippers if you don't want to, and you really don't want to spend money on that sort of thing!! Simple. That's their problem if they have to have them.

I agree a lot with what luv4u said...

Since the strippers seem to be a problem for you, perhaps ask another guy that's standing up with your brother to pay for the stripper, or, have them all pitch in for that part of the party. You won't be putting up the expense for that, or reallly providing that part of the party, since that is a problem for you. Just, make a gracious exit prior to the strippers arriving... or, simply leave the room and do something else to occupy your time, not making an issue out of the reason why you are avoiding "that" part of the party.

Congrats to your brother and we want pictures of you in a tux!

UPDATE*

3 strippers will be at the place from 11pm - 3am....$500 shocked

His friend that we put in charge of them tells me that they'll put up some of the cash...
I'll probably put in $300...

On top of that, his friend wants to invite 3 or 4 other girls, who are into watching strippers
themselves, one of which is his girlfriend.

This party is going to be a big mess, i know it...I've already decided to ditch at 11pm.
