and the first time they've ever won when the russians were competing! (russian boycott when mary-lou won.) bit of a shame for the russian girl though - all those world championship golds and she's got silver at each of the last 3 olympics. update on the per capita standings! and you naysayers-it is more impressive when a country with the total population equal to Shitkicker, Ohio produces almost as many beats the crap out of countries like USA with 29300000 to choose from. The aussies have won 19 medals (the 4th highest total). not as many as the USA but pretty bloody good. but the 3 teams with more medals have at least 7 times more people to choose from (china have 64 times as many!). It's the equivalent of everyone on the aussie team coming from florida. now that is pretty cool. This is taken from an article about yesterday's win and khorkina in general: "Two moments stood out then: Khorkina leaving the floor and admitting she was uninterested while Patterson was performing the decisive routine on vault. Then, at the medalists' news conference, Patterson stepping onto the podium to be greeted by Khorkina, who started flipping through a magazine to show the American her latest modeling pictures." I don't wanna brag about him again....but I just gotta say that this man "owns" the pool.
He was on the cover of Sports Illustrated.....so I guess the "S.I curse" doesn't exist. At least he didn't do like Apolo Anton Ohno and not live up to the hype. The media hyped him up soooo bad claiming that he was gonna win multiples gold medals.....please. Four strings across the bridge. Gary Hall won a gold medal in the 50m freestyle.
He's so arrogant and cocky though....it's almost funny to watch him. He always comes out there like he's Ali. Four strings across the bridge. Ready to carry me over,Over the quavers, drunk in the bars,Out of the realm of the orchestra

We got no 'apna' Sachin (tennis elbow), as well as no Nehra or no Harbaju Over 5 an over is a tough ask to chase in a reduced 36 overs game, plus wet conditions We'll see anyways "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Which means 80 runs scored for the loss of 3 wickets in 15 overs bowled 33 overs is the over limit in this match (reduced from the regular 50 overs due to rain) Pakistan made 192 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allocated 33 overs .i.e. 192/6 in 33ov.
