IMPORTANT TIPS:

- If soiled refastenable underwear is being replaced, remove it and clean the groin and buttocks thoroughly.

STEP-IN METHOD (To put them on while sitting):

Step 1
Unfold a fresh refastenable underwear.

Step 2
Identify the front and back of the product.

- The front of DEPEND® Refastenable Underwear look like this, with the fastening tabs in front.

Step 3
While sitting, step into DEPEND® Refastenable Underwear just like regular underwear. Stand up (or lift the person up) and pull into place closely by pulling snugly against the groin.



Step 4
Adjust the fit by repositioning the side fastening tabs, if necessary.

- If you need an even more snug fit, open the refastening tabs. Locate the side panel perforation (located under the refastenable tabs on each side of the garment), tear along the perforation and snugly pull the back panel forward and re-adjust tabs for a secure fit. Do this on both sides getting an even fit on each side.
- Be sure to move any folds of skin, especially on the inner thigh, to prevent leaking and chafing.

OPEN METHOD (To put them on while lying down):

Step 1
Unfold a fresh refastenable underwear.

Step 2
Identify the front and back of the product.

- The front of DEPEND® Refastenable Underwear look like this, with the fastening tabs in front.

Step 3
Open the product by opening the refastening tabs. Locate the side panel perforation (located under the refastenable tabs on each side of the garment). Tear along the perforation on each side.

Step 4
Move the person onto his or her side.



Step 5
Position on the bed so the top of back of the underwear (the end with the refastening tabs) is close to the person’s waist, with the flaps open as shown.

Step 6
Gently roll the person over so they are centered over the center of the product on their back.



Step 7
Bring the front of the product between the legs. The front and back edges should be pulled to equal heights on the front and back of the waistline.

Step 8
Adjust the product to fit closely by pulling it snugly against the groin. Attach the fastening tabs on to the front flaps of the product.



Step 9
Re-adjust the underwear for a close comfortable fit.

- Be sure to move any folds of skin, especially on the inner thigh, to prevent leaking and chafing.

A friend of mine (who shall remain nameless) once attended a Bruce Springsteen concert got there early and made it to the front. He then had a call of nature and rather than lose his place at the front he happily pissed himself and enjoyed the concert.
