i was depressed once, wanted to kill myself cause my family abandoned me,know what i did?
got myself a business and a huge house with a mortgage to match, now i don't have the time to be depressed cause i'm working my ass off to run the business properly in order to keep the roof over my head! no time for self pity now! works for me. xx

Chico don't give up...sometimes its hard to see the way ahead (I've been there too and taken it to the extreme) but it IS always there for you to walk upon one step at a time

Just saw this thread Chico-glad you're hanging in there!

I've definitely struggled with depression and the main thing to remember is that it is manageable and can be overcome.

Little tricks I've noticed-don't be afraid to talk to friends/family cause they care-and the Org family definitely seems to care too (I know I'm techinically new, but I do too-you seem cool).

Music is a huge help for me-when you get down don't listen to stuff that'll make you feel any worse of course, find something funkier.

The main thing is to remember you're not alone, and you feel worse it's ok to talk to somebody-no need to feel alone.

Hang in there man-feel free to talk to me if you ever need it!

You're very welcome Chico. It IS a lot easier to get kicked down farther if you're already struggling-but it is all stuff that you can look back on years later and find humor in it. It took me years to finally find somebody therapy wise I could talk to that worked-so if you get to that point, don't be afraid to know that with stuff like that and depression in general it's all trial and error until you find the right mix of things that help.

Another thing that's helped is writing about it. Nothing that has to be shown to anybody-just venting on paper to help it feel that it's out of you and on the paper-you can keep it, trash it, burn it, whatever helps-just the fact you're getting it out of you some.

I never thought I'd get to the place I am today-but I did, and I've been at extreme lows. It all just takes time, which may suck now-but you'll get there if you simply try to take it one by day and not let one day ruin the next. Things happen-it's life.

Sometimes it has to get worse to get better.
