Your favourite quotes? Here´s mine.
Isn't it strange that what we talk least about the things we think about most. Charles Lindberg I´ll post some more later. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

"Falling down doesn't make you a failure but staying down does".
My high school Algebra teacher used to say that years ago and I still love it. I don't know who the original quote came from....

"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and that they may glorify your Father who is in heaven."
--Matthew 5:17 (I think) "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you." --John 18:14 "We demand our rights on this earth: to be a man, to be a human being, to be given rights of a human being, to be given the respect of a human being, in this society on this earth in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary." --Malcolm X "You hardly know me, Johnny, so I beg you to believe my reputation: I am a constant soldier, a sometime poet, and I will be king." -- Richard the Lionhearted, The Lion In Winter "Wisdom is a collection of mistakes: either yours or someone else's." -- My father "You owe nothing to the past but wasted time/to serve a sentence that was only in your mind." -- Beck, "The End of the Day," sea change "When the tongue or pen is unleashed in a fury, it is the man, not the subject, that becomes exhausted." -- a paraphrase from Thomas Paine, "The Rights of Man" "What can I say that Shakespeare hasn't said before?" -- , "I Like It There" "Don't ever let anyone make you feel as if you don't count. Maintain a sense of dignity and respect." -- a paraphrase from Martin Luther King, Jr. "Excellence brings about wealth. Wealth does not always bring about excellence." -- Socrates, "The Apology" (I think) "Always think as people around you think. Sometimes the world seems to be sad, scarry or without rhyme or reason. But it´s only reflection of the way we feel. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

There must be more to life than having everything.
Just think how happy you´d be if you lost everything you have and than got it all back. We often do not realize moments of pure joy, simply becuase we have expected something greater and more dramatic. It´s easy to consider yourself wise and loving when you live alone. "Excuse me": said a little fish. "You are probably older and wiser than I am. Could you please tell me where I could find sea? I have been looking everywhere for it, but haven´t been able to find it." "Sea is what you swim in," answered the older fish. "This? This´s just a water, but I am looking for sea," said the little fish and felt very dissapointed. Very few of us regret what we have done. Most of us regret what we haven´t done. Only insecure people are looking for security. "What the hell" are always the right dicisions. I have experienced a lot of terrible things - and some of them actually happened. Mark Twain "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Men are from Earth. Women are from Earth. Deal with it. Everybody lies, but it doesn't matter because no one listens. You can't have everything. Where would you put it? I plead contemporary insanity. If voting could really change things it would be illegal. Satan is the best friend the Church has ever had...he's kept it in business all these years. This one's been credited to Prince, but I have no idea if he actually said it or not: "Imagine what you could become if you could be everything you wanted." This is a little lengthy, but I've always been in awe of Richard Dawkins, and I wouldn't dare edit one word he's written. I'm going to have the final sentence engraved on my tombstone.
"The total amount of suffering per year in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute that it takes me to compose this sentence, thousands of animals are being eaten alive, many others are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, others are slowly being devoured from within by rasping parasites, thousands of all kinds are dying of starvation, thirst, and disease. It must be so. If there ever is a time of plenty, this very fact will automatically lead to an increase in the population until the natural state of starvation and misery is restored. In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference." -- Richard Dawkins, edit for faulty grammar.
