I don't have any. I've been wanting one (and only one) for so long, but I keep coming up with excuses against it.

The tattoo that I want is the image on my avitar.

I don't have one either. I had a henna tattoo twice. Basically low-tolerance for pain, and what's the point. If I did get one it would prolly be something cutesy like Winnie the Pooh near the ankle.

no tats here either although I have been thinking about getting a butterfly near my ankle but I can't reconcile sitting still for someone repeatedly stabbing me with a needle.

Are you Chinese? If not, PLEASE don't get one.....or at least be SUPER careful. I know too many people who've gotten completely whack characters.

The last thing you want is to be strolling around Chinatown and have people snickering at you because you have "ass hair" tattoed on you! eek

I think its definitely becoming the alt thing NOT to have a tat. However, they are so ultra-cool-a major commitment & form of expression, I don't think they should be thought of as a "Fad" or something "trendy". It has been made into something mainstream which usually means it gets cheapened, but hopefully tattooing/branding/body piercing will still be done by those who do it for the right reasons- I think they look beyond the whole "trendy" thing. I've always wanted one, but I haven't thought about it enough to design the right one and where.
If you have to ask, it's more than worth it.

I'm just used to spaces, not a whole giant paragraph.

Well said. cool

Definitely think about which one you want-the 'ol "it'll be there forever" is always a factor.

yeah, I looked at it again, its a little drawn out. But I had to explain my view biggrin .
And yes, exactly- always think about it seriously before you do it. I have a friend who gets a tattoo everytime she's depressed. Although she's running out of room, she usually gets things that bring her back to her happy place, or grounds her. They are really expressive of who she is, too.
was this reply too long? wink
