ok so the guys in the chat room tonight have been asking me about this idea that seems to have drifted away for the past few months. not sure if a cruise is ideal (it sounds good to me though) but it could be anywhere in the world. i'm not fussy just as long as it's not in the Arctic. but the more we talked about it the more i was lovin' the idea!!!!

well who's into it?
first things first:

an organizing committee. anyone can submit themselves to be on it. obviously it has to be people who are trust worthy and who don't encite anger and hatred on the Org. we wouldn't want anyone falling off the side of the ship accidentally. then we'll go thru a process of voting people onto it and then we can get down to the bizness of organizing this event.

Why does it have to be a cruise, though? It sounds kinda expensive.

I'm definitely interested! We're still talking about it in the chatroom. It would be great to see this idea become a reality.

maybe there is a travel agent amoung us that could help to locate a group rate booking and the best available cruise for what we need.
perhaps that would cut down on cost. Maybe we could somehow get a lump sum and pitch in topay it. I don't know how it works. I've never been on a cruise, but maybe there is something like that available

not sure if i like the idea of a city. maybe a small city. i dunno.

But New York is not centrally located.. atleast a ship can gopick peeps up at several different ports. besides, food is usually included and so wouldn't that cut down on some expense? I don't know...we could arrange there to be several different port stops to pick people up.

My guess is that we'd have to figure out where most of the people are coming from and then put the meet-up on that continent.
