Episode III title announced!

Now it's official, The title for STAR WARS: EPISODE III is...
REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Personally, I think it's the perfect title for the new movie
(and the one I'd been hoping they would use for ages).

Special Announcement: Episode III Title
July 24, 2004

starwars.com is pleased to announce that Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith is the full title of the next Star Wars film, scheduled for release on May 19, 2005.

The Sith are masters of the dark side of the Force and the sworn enemies of the Jedi. They were all but exterminated by the Jedi a thousand years ago, but the evil order continued in secrecy. They operated quietly, behind the scenes, acting in pairs - a Master and an Apprentice - patiently biding their time before they could take over the galaxy. In Episode III, they'll finally exact their revenge on the Jedi.

The title was publicly revealed today in a special presentation to a packed audience of Star Wars fans at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. "For some time now, the naming of a new Star Wars movie has taken on some special meaning among core fans, who love to take part in guessing games before a title is announced, and then engage in debate once it is," said Steve Sansweet, Director of Content Management and Head of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm. "Let the debates begin."

I'm surprised JediMaster didn't get here first with the news!

It's a great title, and links up perfectly with "RETURN OF THE JEDI"
(which incidently, was originally called "Revenge Of The Jedi")
The circle is now complete.

Lucasfilm have also produced a cool retro t-shirt of the newly announced title,
done in the style of the original "Return Of The Jedi" logo from 1983.

It is in a way. It's a parody of a well known movie but setting it in the Star Wars galaxy. I don't want to give much away until production is complete, though.

Yes it is!

More Star Wars fan films I suggest, all available at http://www.theforce.net/t...ndex.shtml

"Pink Five"
Luke, Leia, Chewie...Stacey? A previously unknown chapter in the saga of the Battle of Yavin.

"Pink Five Strikes Back"
The "totally awesome" saga of Stacey continues as she treks to Dagobah, where Master Yoda trains her to be a Jedi. Kinda.

"Jedi Hunter"
Ever notice the similarities between Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin and Boba Fett? If not, then catch an episode of the new reality series THE JEDI HUNTER, as the now Australian Boba Fett crosses the galaxy capturing and eliminating Jedi, along with his companion Terri Fett. Danger, danger, danger! There's some feisty ones out there...

"Crazy Watto"
What happens when a video producer, a writer, and the guy responsible for creating MEN IN BLACK get together with a camera and a bunch of toys? What would a bad cable commercial for Watto's Junkyard look like? Probably not this commercial, which spans the SW galaxy (and others), but see what the Z-Team gang came up with...

Yeah, I can't wait.
Though rumor has it that the teaser trailer should be in cinemas this side of Christmas.
(plus of course there's a preview of Episode III on the upcoming Trilogy DVD Box Set)
