Attention Europeans, a serious question What is the obsession with piss? On a lot of threads lately I've been noticing phrases like "piss up" and "pathetic piss take" and "you're taking the piss". Americans say "shit" all the time as in:
What's this shit? I'm gonna beat the shit outa you! You shittin' me? I don't have time for this shit. etc. I think we are evenly matched with the potty references.  In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

From what I can gather it means that if you are "takin the piss" etc. it means either a) someone is teasing you or b) you are doing something to tease/annoy someone else. am I right? Jeez don't make me call my Mom she hates to be bothered at work.  In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

ermmm ok seeming as no one else has answered you silly people 
Piss up = getting drunk with friends generally a good night out piss take = some one is really taking the micky out of someone else or something unbelieveable has happened taking the piss = again someone acting silly/stupid/or making some one else look silly/stupid hope that helps  | |
