I can't even believe the amount of votes Keaton is getting. As a Batman aficionado, I thought he did the worse job. I can't even bring myself to watch Batman, Batman Returns, or Batman And Robin. Batman Forever is the only one I can watch without getting sick.

The movies (including the latest Batman Begins) will never be able to portray Batman as brilliantly as the animated series from '92 to '97 did. The 3rd season alone had Batman in his best costume.

In this order, the best Batman's to date are:

Val Kilmer
Adam West
George Clooney
Michael Keaton.

George and Michael are real close to being the worst representations of Batman EVER! But Mr. Mom gets it for being so wimpy. Will see how Christian Bale will rate, after that movie comes out.

Michael Keaton, hands down!!! He showed great duality amongst the Bruce/Batman characters. He was always slightly on edge... Like the scene in Batman where the Joker comes to Vicki's apartmant & Keaton just goes off the wall... "You wanna get nuts?" (smashes vase)" C'mon, let's get nuts!!"

He was one step away from schizophrenic and it was AWESOME

dude, batman forever sucked worse than any of them besides batman and robin.

keaton was a good batman, but he sucked as bruce wayne. they should seem like two different people. clooney was the worst. he sucked balls

Patrick Stewart should have played Freeze!!! (well, in a decent movie, anyway. I wouldn't have wanted to see him in that Schumacher piece of crap!)

Wasn't there a rumor at one time about Stewart maybe taking the role for that movie? hmmm

Isn't it kinda funny that when people think of someone bald for a prominently bald character, everyone thinks Patrick Stewart? I do it, too. lol

Actually, he was offerred the part, but turned them down. I read an interview with him years ago where he talked about it, and speculated about what it would have been like.

How you go from offering Stewart the role to giving it to Swarzenegger is quite beyond me!!

But if you know anything about the comic, you'd understand that him being "pretty" is essential to the character. Bruce Wayne, as far as the general public knows, is a billionaire playboy who only cares about partying and screwing models. The world at large would NEVER believe him to be Batman. They think he's just some vacuous dolt.

Think of it this way: what if you discovered that Paris Hilton had a secret life as a vigilante? No one would ever buy that she cared about anything beyond herself. This is the concept behind Bruce Wayne. He is a facade, designed to throw off the general public, while Batman is the real personality.
