I'm not that old yet, but when talking to some of my nieces and nephews who are in their teens I already notice there's quite a generation gap there. My mother wasn't one of the youngest moms around, but she really did a good job in being interested in whatever it was I was into, very openminded and non-judgemental too.

Then again I was the 5th child she had, so she had plenty of practice in how to deal with kids.

I hear you man...my mom called me months ago asking me for a copy of Musicology! She's 77! Very very active and travels all the time! Teaches computers to other senior citizens in her building once a week too! She's unbelievable and awesome!

Now that im in my late 20's, I look just like my mother. IM also "moody", just like her. But as far as parenting skills " NO". Im the total opposite, I think Im doing a great job caring for my children.

dancing jig I know I am..

I always tell my mom that my internal organs are just like hers.. Everything she has, I have..

And thank my dearest Lord for her health.. She is 81. Still dances, still cooks, and doesn't look her age. And every now and again she will bust out with "Fuck".

Um...not me.

Know why? Cuz I don't cheat on my taxes, I try to avoid lying, I don't care what the neighbors think, I listen to my partner and when I have kids, I have no intention of abusing them.
