take a look for yourself....  I understand your feelings on this, BUT you have to take a couple things into account: first off, its an homage to the Batmobile seen in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, and second: within the story it is suppossed to be an early prototype. Bruce Wayne stumbles across a discarded military assault vehicle design his company had developed, and uses it as the basis for the Batmobile. It is suppossed to look crude and cobbled together, since this is the beginning of Batman's career.
