Your Near Death Experiences

I have had THREE major "near death" experiences in my life.

1. My older brother tied my shoelaces to the balcony overlooking the steps leading downstairs when I was seven years old. I, always being tall for my age, simply leaned "over" the rail and untied them, not thinking that once they were untied, I'd "flip" over the rail and fall headfirst down to the stairs and then roll down them!

2. At age twelve...I woke up before everyone else and smelled gas in the kitchen.....I just thought it was the pilot light.....so I opened the oven and lit a match.....BOOOM!! Right past my face and up my arm, but I had on my favorite track suit at the time and escaped with just minor burns on my eyelids, with burnt off eyelashes and eyebrows.

3. And lastly...I was walking on the train tracks afterschoo right "next" to a passing train. Being so close I could not hear a thing. I was just walking next to a train, no big deal. I just got to the point on the tracks where it was time for me to get off the tracks and head home and about five seconds after I got off the tracks....ANOTHER TRAIN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION CAME ROARING BY!! I would have been smacked head on and out of here!!

Actually I have one too...in 1995 I took about 20 sleeping tablets (long story) and I "went to sleep" for about 16 hours - except I still don't think I was asleep

It may sound cliche but I was with a friend who had just died and it was all good we were walking through the country and talking...to cut a long story short at the end of it he said to me "it's not your time yet you have to go back" and that's when I woke up

sounds cliche but true, I swear it was no dream and I was closer than I realised to going

so do I, definately!...it turned from the saddest thing I'd ever been through at that point in my life to a very comforting experience to "spend that time" with him

My closest calls would have to be:

Head on collision with a semi - trailer Mack truck, me and my friends all miraculously survived the impact, the car was a hell of a write off (I wasn't the driver).

On the operating table whilst undergoing surgery.

Getting mulled by a K-9 when I was 6 years old.

And on another note, Tisse, ur experience is similar to one I've had, only the other person was my dead grandpa pray and he wouldn't let me go. I understand baby girl....

When I was 19, I was working as a fry cook in a steakhouse...it was raining, and the roof was leaking. Well guess what--the all-metal industrial microwave oven was not properly grounded, and as I went to put a plate of mushrooms in there, standing in a puddle of water, the thing totally grounded through me. It all happened pretty quick...I screamed for about 10 seconds, and the electricity was such that I couldn't let go of the handle; somehow I eventually ripped the microwave out of the wall to where it unplugged--at which point I was still so jolted and freaked out that I ran screaming out of the kitchen--almost into the dining room, but the manager tackled me and held me down until my nerves settled.

Man...that sucked... shake

This is not a joke.....

Back in the 80's I had a serious problem with drugs, I had been doing cocaine all night and needed to come down so I did some heroin and valium but because I did so much blow I needed more valium.

I felt my body start to go into seisure, as I lie on my bed I felt the feeling start to leave my body.

It starts from your toes and fingers first and travels up to your body. As it travels you lose feeling and mobility in your limbs. I knew I was going into seisure but had already lost the use of my arm, so I couldn't call 911 on the phone next to my bed.

I had excepted my fate that I was going to die, and remembered nothing past that point.

My roomate found me rushed me to the hosipital where I became clinically dead while they revived me.

I know longer fear death because of that experience. In fact I look forward to it.

Okay, let's see.....

A few days after I was born, I had jaundice, an ear infection, and my lungs weren't fully developed.

When I was four, I went on a weekend trip with my mom and preschool class to some lake/campground in Wisconsin. On the second day there, we were all at the beach and I somehow convinced my mom to let me go into the water with my teacher, to the understanding that she would watch after me. So I got in, and unfortunately, the current swept me afar. I remember that all of a sudden, I found myself struggling to breathe and trying to stay float, but couldn't, and I became sleepy and eventually felt myself slip. I woke up, on the shore, with paramedics, and the man who saved my life, standing over me. All I could hear besides people asking me was I okay, was the sound of my mother cussin' the hell outta my teacher. nod

At thirteen , I experienced a similar incident. I was attending sports camp at the time, and my group had swimming session. During the session, the intstructor had us doin some technique (I don't remember). But anyway, he'd given us 10 time to practice on our own (with him watching, of course!) So I grabbed a board and began my swim, but once again, before I had intended on going into the deep end of the pool, I somehow drifted and one again struggled to stay afloat. I tried to swim back to the shallow end, but failed, so I had nothin else to do but attempt to scream and/or get someone's attention. Fortunately, the instructor was nearby, and pulled me out the pool. From that time on, water has been one of my greatest phobias. I don't drink it unless I have to, and the only water I touch is the water that I bathe in/shower in everyday.

Also, just last year, I was hit, ran over by, and drugged a few blocks by a speeding car. That very night that they brought me to the hospital, it was doubted that I would survive that night. I had several internal injuries, a fractured collarbone, shattered ankle, broken arm, and a nearly severed finger. I was fucked up for about 3 months.
They did WHAT??!.... disbelief

I've had about 10 at least.... I stopped keeping track. Most have to do with working with electricity (my occupation), one with a dog, one with a 357 magnum, about 5 for severe sleep deprivation and driving (worse than drinking and driving), maybe 3 more for dares and once drowning( I did, and was brought back!)... I live for the rush! headbang
