I pushed the old bike out of the Garage. I strapped a battery to the side of it to see if I could get it started, it had been sitting for a year. the second kick got it started, but it would sputter and rev, sputter and rev, sure sign of a dirty carb. I gripped the clutch and put it in gear to see what would happen,as I had been told the transmission was messed up. It gave a posotive thunk into gear. I slowly let out the clutch while giving a little gas, the engine started to sputter and die. Foolishly I went to full throttle. The bike and I went shooting across the wet front yard. I went down sideways, messed my arm up a little and was left shaking and soaked on the grond.


any other late comers to motorcycles, or good first time on a bike stories?

I ran my friends truimph right into a barbwire fence, twisted up the front end pretty good. I had a helmet on or i would have been hurt worse, just broke a couple ribs
