Who's excited for Exorcist:the Beginning?

dancing jig I had been hearin' about this movie for the longest, cuz it was supposed to be released this past Feb. I saw the trailer for it and I can't wait to go see it, even though for some reason I think it's gonna be the worst Exocist movie.

I'm unsure about this one. Maybe I'll see what some of the reviews turn out to be first, although sometimes they're dead wrong, too.

How about you go see it first and tell me if it's any good? wink

the last one was a real stinker, except for that one part where the old lady skittered across the ceiling. that was cool. though i think exorcist II was even MORE of a stinker.

hmmm. i don't know if i have a lot of hope for the next one. neutral

III had it's moments. Actually I don't think it was too bad but maybe that's due to my dislike of II and thinking that they improved somewhat. I do have a funny story that goes with seeing III in the theater, though. Some nutcase was sitting just in front of me who came to see this movie by himself, and you'll soon understand why this guy couldn't get a date for this event. If you recall the shot of the hospital hallway where the camera quick zooms in when one of the nurses is about to be killed, this guy drops his popcorn, grabs the seat in front of him and screams! I just about died laughing! He later picked up his popcorn from the floor and resumed eating it. ill

ME!!!!

But I wanna see Paul Schrader's version too!

The studio hated Schrader's version and refused to release it (they said it was too deep and not gory enough) so they hired Renny Harlin to reshoot the movie. Harlin's version is being released, but Schrader's will be coming out on DVD.

hmmm Fascinating. I happen to like movies more deep and not as gory. Gore is to me what filmmakers use when the story alone can't get the job done of scaring the crap outta someone. I look forward to the other version, then.
