I'm not fully sure yet. But def. a lot of shades of blue. I know I want my room to remind me of the beach. Mostly calming colors. I don't want any bright colors that's gonna give me a headache to look at everyday, or colors that I'll get tired of quick.

Previously when I owned my own home it was decorated with lots of psychedelic colours & sharp, sleek furniture . Futuristic icons and ornaments all over the place, star trek & clockwork orange style. wink Lots of glass, chrome, polished silver & memorabilia. Careful though because the energy in ur home must be balanced. If ur into Feng Shui then u'll have it easy....thumbs up!

My future home is the one I got, it's slowly evolving. We have this huge room that used to be my graphic design studio and my husband's recording studio, but now it's become more a lounge and TV room - a huge improvement. If the house was twice as big I would still manage to fill it up with stuff. Decor? Can only afford IKEA, but somehow it doesn't look much like the catalogue!

I like this one...Plus it's blue so that's good.

I'm not moving anymore. I'm going to retire in this place. The only other home that's in the future for me is a nursing home. I am going to be finishing off my basement and making a home theater down there, though.

Without going off topic as the tweets above me....

I love a minimalistic look.
Kind of 70's, but sumthing more contemporary.
Think loads of space and light.
Not too many features, so the features I have really shine.
Three dogs.
Two cats.
A writing room.

Just imagine a house designed by Rem Koolhaas. Somewhere in Amsterdam.

Heiress

mine keeps evolving... always looking for more places to stick some bookshelves, more storage in general, with the thought of making room for another baby someday...

thus the latest addition to our decor is two antique afgan armoires, by way of pakistan. in some sort of dark-finished, elaborately carved pine.

really cozy in here. lots of ethnic fabrics (mexican, african, arab) and darker woods. mexican pine, wicker-armed heavy italian sofa. that kind of thing.

also some indonesian teak... frankoma pottery... it all mixes up very nicely & cozily.
