The divorce is final.

Got pretty much everything I wanted, most importantly my children for 50% of the time, which is what I wanted, aside from full custody.....

I should only be paying her $270 a month since I share full financial responsibility half the time, but she wasn't having that (big surprise there.....), so I had to agree to $400 a month, which considering how much children cost, isn't terrible. After a year of having them for 50% of the time officially, I will be able to go back to court to have the support put at a fair deal.

Soooo, (and people that chat with me know my situation) I will now be directing all money that was going towards the divorce, and concentrating on getting my own place and moving out of my aunt's house.....THANK GOD...lol.....
I shouldn't complain though, because it allowed me to afford the lawyer and all the other costs involved with the divorce.

Also, she can't move out of the county with them and neither can I, so it is assured that we will always be at least that close, untill they are grown at least...

Also, I will provide half the medical insurance and related expenses, alot better than the full 100% most fathers get stuck with.

She also has to maintain a $100,000 life insurance policy for the lifetime of the children, same for me.

I also get to claim my daughter as a dependant on my taxes, which helps out tremendously.

So, that's that.....one door closing, and another one opening I hope.....

That's great Jersey..Glad to hear it's all over and done with for you..Maybe now you can be less stressed

I do know this isn't what you wanted. I am happy for you however that this part of it is done. Now the healin begins and a whole new world. I respect your role as a father deeply. I really believe you will see relationships in a whole new light from here! ( I mean that in a positive and healthy way. )
