Compartmentalization, Segmentation, Genres & Cliques!! Well....I have to tell you folks that going through life labelling and dividing up the world has only caused us nothing but despair and havoc throughout. I don't allow myself to be placed into any particular category or allow myself to miss out on the rest of the world because of them or it not looking like me or acting like I do!
Don't allow yourself to pigeonhole your soul by staying away from something you haven't taken the time to understand and never judge by that same notion. You should RESPECT what you don't understand and investigate both objectively and humbly!! AND JUST LIVE!!! This public service announcement was brought to you by the DOWHATCHALIKE entertainment group! ie...I was walking on Santa Monica Beach last week "late night" and there was a group of Gothic/Punk types skateboarding down this hill.....I simply walked over and asked if I could ride the hill with them...and proceeded to do my "DexGames" impression on my back! Rode a couple times and then went about my way.....I came back afte awhile..and my cousin was mingling with them all drinking beer and laughing!! You see....Life is Beautiful!! BUT THEY WERE DRINKING BUD-LIGHT!!! The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

might i add something to all that?
maybe i have this impression because of spending too much time in P&R, but it seems to me that people spend more time griping about what they hate or dislike rather than sharing what they love about life. i don't like to speak too much in terms of "positivity" and "negativity" because to me, that's a form of lame, b&w categorization... but i'd prefer to think in terms of what makes life worthwhile, and not what's going to drain myself and others of essential energy. i think that by building something beautiful, we tear down the ugliness. no need to concentrate too much on that ugliness, it'll simply evaporate out of lack of interest... am i making any sense?

You are making all the sense in the world sweety! Whap! The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

You are making all the sense in the world sweety! Whap! thanks... i guess what we're both saying is, let's not limit ourselves, but stay open to the possibilities... like a friend of mine here is always saying... that rather than being on the lookout for what is "good" (which implies good vs. bad), we need to search for what is beautiful... search and ye shall find!
