Ace was right. when you have anal sex, there's a big risk of getting HIV, because the tissue of the anus is fragile and has a lot of small veins. so you should always use a condom. or know the status of your partner when you are monogamous. but remember that it takes at least two months after contamination before a test can show if you are infected. i like to use a condom too because it's cleaner anyway, especially down there and you can always get an enema before doing it !

you have to use a stronger condom then the ones designed for vaginal intercourse, cuz there's lots more friction. and never use two. and after a 15 minutes of penetration, it's time to use a second one...

you have to use lots of lube ! and no oil or fat based lubes, they harm the condom. so no butter, baby oil or vaseline. saliva is the worst lubrication because it dries really quick.
waterbased lubrication works well, but i like to use silicon based, it stays slippy. silicon won't harm the condom.
