So is this it? Is this the actaul final movie or are there 3 more to come with the original actors from back in the day to come back and play their characters in old age? I'll bet it's just a rumor. From what I remember, in the 80s this was George Lucas' "plan." However when he started on the prequels, I think he said these would be the last movies. For as much as I love Star Wars, I am hoping he sticks to it and doesn't do a final three. As it stands, the series has very much become about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. Adding three more movies would send it off in a different direction, IMO.

Lucas has said in the past that the idea of episodes 7-9 was only bringing back the original cast when they were older and that was as far as he got with any stories. So, they're not around in case people think they actually exist out on Skywalker Ranch. And yes, he's now repeatedly said that there will be no more episodes 7-9. However, there's been talk of a possible Boba Fett television series.

I don't think he'll ever need any more money than what he's making already. The licensing deals alone could keep him rich through retirement.

Normally, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about Star Wars (no offense to those that do), but since this woman is in it:
I will be on the look-out for stills. (unless, of course, they dress her up in one of those crazy sci-fi costumes that makes her look about as sexual as a loaf of bread).

I like this title, hopefully it bodes well for the film itself as the titles for the last two sounded like a fart joke and the other like a dose of crabs.

Well, he certainly doesn't need the money, but he HAS backpeddled from an absolute no on several occasions since making the prequels (only to change his mind again later, and say no again). Originally, he was indeed going to make 9 Star Wars movies (a trilogy of trilogies), with each trilogy centering around a new generation of characters, with R2-D2 & C-3PO being the only characters to appear in all 9 episodes. From what I heard, he had worked out a rough story arc for the final trilogy, but never got round to writing proper detailed screenplays for them. The main story would centre on Jacen & Jaina Solo (son & daughter of Leia & Han Solo), with classic trilogy characters making an appearance too. Because Lucas had taken such a long time to get around to making the prequels, he'd decided against making the final trilogy (as he may not live to see their completion). Ever since the Lord Of The Rings movies hit, there have been occasional hints that the final trilogy might indeed get made (after seeing the possibiliy of shooting all 3 movies at the same time in a 4-5 year period, like Peter Jackson had). Instead of doing the final trilogy, there has been talk of making a TV series instead. However, this would be set in the time period between episodes III & IV, not VII-IX.

Actually, the Star Wars films are HEAVILY influenced by the old Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers serials. "The Phantom Menace" was actually a title of one of the FG ones. "Attack Of The Clones" was a nod to all the "Attack Of..." titles that appeared throughout these. That having been said, they still were kinda lame. I understand why he chose those titles, but they still didn't do it for me. Personally, I think ROTS is the best title yet! Its sounds menacing, fits the story and provides symmetry with Episode VI. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

General Grievous is gonna rule! Though he's not in the movie as much as you'd hope (about the same as Darth Maul was in Episode I). He's certainly a Jedi Killer, though I don't think you actually see him kill any Jedi in the movie. He keeps their lightsabers as trophies on his belt. He's not the one who wipes out most of the Jedi though, that privelage belongs to Darth Vader and... (well, I won't say any more. I don't wanna spoil it for ya). This is the movie I've been waiting for ever since Lucas announced that he would make the prequels.
