I used to love wrestling in the 80's and early 90's,but I can't get into this new stuff on WWE. I used to even like WCW better than WWF at one point. I know other people think it's "fake", but it's just entertainment for me.

I miss the old Undertaker, the one that looked like death! And Kane too! When he took off his mask he took all the mystery out of the character.

I liked Wrestling when it was the WWF with Mankynd and Yokozuma. i still have the WWF Playstation Game where Yokozuna dives from the strings and goes thru the flaw memories

OMG! This thread is takin' me back!!! Junk Yard Dog! Macho Man Randy Savage (remember Miss Elizabeth?), The Ultimate Warrior, Jake the Snake Roberts!!!

When I first started watching wrestling folks like The Fabulous Moola, Haystack Calhoun, Bruno Sermartino, Superstar Billy Graham, Bob Backlund, Kamala (from Uganda--yeah right!), and the Iron Sheik (from Iran--yeah right!), Tony Garria, Ted Dibiasi (hey, I'm probably butchering the spelling of some of these names), Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Dusty Rhodes, (his son Gold Dust was flamin'! ), Wendy Richter, fine ass Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Rowdy Roddy Piper (I could go on) were wrestling.

And remember the managers like Fred Vlasi, and this one who always a turban and shades? How 'bout Paul Berra (sp)?

And I remember how the wrestling magazine covers always looked so gory to me. Some wrestler's face was always covered in blood. And I always had a thing for the bad guys, who eventually would turn good. And I'm trying to think of the referee who turned wrestler for a while. He'd always get his ass kicked.


I caught a few minutes of Smack Down last night and there were four women in lingerie and high heels in the ring. WTF? Anyway, I don't watch it anymore, but my sister still keeps up with it.

Triple H! He was Hunter Holmes Helmsley, or something. This blue blood type. Nose always up in the air.... Some of the wrestling personas are so over the top. Don't believe me, check out Gold Dust. Or, Elvis wannabee "The Honky Tonk Man".
