i was riding my bike to work today and got a massive whiff of a freshly mown lawn

is there a smell more evocative?

for a nanosecond i was a wee lad again on my school holidays playing 20 aside football and doing top speed on my bmx!

then i woke up...nearly got knocked down and came 2 work...

I love the smell of it in the morning. Freshly mown and preferably with dew on it. Takes me back to my soccer days.

Couldn't agree with you more.. I absolutly love the smell of freshly cut grass.. That and the smell of the rain.. esepcially on a damp summer night..
