So what kind of wedding do u think you'll have? Something big and flashy?
I think I'd be happy to have any kind of wedding in the UK with Mon. I'd just be happy that it were possible. The whole visa thing is a pain and obviously there is a lot to think about. A lot to think about regarding the pros and cons of the US too. I can think of many pros and at least one con, but he won't be living anywhere near u, so I say go for it! They do have lovely teeth and very big cars in America. Actually, I'll break it down for u so u can see what u're getting into. America and Americans - PROS: Nice teeth Big cars Eating out Friendly people Basketball Tall buildings Bars Theme parks Scenery Television Entertainment events, concerts etc. NEUTRAL: Some goods cheaper than other parts of the world (esp. Europe) but some quite expensive. Climate (depends where u are) CONS: Patriotism (as typified by super-patriotic, friendly-fire, ex-NFL 'hero' soldier who tripped over his jaw and got himself killed) Baseball Crime Pollution in big cities Television (quantity not quality is the thing) News channels (more like cartoons) Oprah, Michael Jackson, Paris Hilton and a plethora of other banal characters Traffic jams Deliciously tempting but fatty foodstuffs (case could be made for pro and con) P.S. This is 100% pure fact. ... [This message was edited Wed Jul 21 3:45:04 2004 by Famboozled]

As for a wedding, we're going to be keeping it on the down low, as my parents/family/friends here in OZ can't afford to come over and be part of it (at least at this stage), so it will be mostly her family and our friends over there. We want to have an outside wedding as neither of us is religious. But seriously, we're not 100% sure we're gonna get married yet, so it's pretty much postulation at this point, although the chances of it happening are high. Cheers to you and your girl and hope you guys can sort something out together.
