Yeah, I remember you telling me about that a while back....I've spent a few months in Corvallis....lovely little town.

woot!

That's where my mom and all 5 of her siblings grew up! They still own the original house... but I tend to like Portland better, it's bigger and has more action. Corvallis is small... but they have Woodstocks Pizza!

drool

that's the pizza we used to get all the time! wow, what a small world it is!

well, I've only stayed in P-land a couple of nights before in a hotel...so i'm looking forward to living there!

woot!

That's great Pete thumbs up!

I know the long distance thing well too. I was away from Mon for a year after meeting her. Hooked up the second time and stayed for a month, but we had to be apart and together for about 4 months at a time for about 2 years after that. Ours wasn't exactly an internet relationship in that we had already met before we hooked up, but the net sure helped us out a lot in that year when we grew closer and ever since then.

As far as visas it can't be anywhere near as difficult as taking a Thai girl to the UK. I've half a mind to stuff her in my backpack when I go back this time for a holiday. wink

Good luck Brian! woot!

She looks lovely. You don't look so hot, but she looks nice. nod

Congrats and my best to you both mrdespues! biggrin

If your disability is depression related at all some states have health care that pays for medication and such but just have to find out. I really doubt the health care here is anywhere as good as Australia. Each state is different as I'm sure you probably know, which doesn't always make it helpful. The system is designed NOT to help people for some reason here. Makes no sense.

You're gonna need an extra visa for those Morris eyebrows you got though! cool

No, my girlfriend doesn't want to leave her family. It's actually more of a bitch to get married there though, it would seem. I hate the U.S. system...but I like a lot about America itself - the people, and of course, my GF and her family. One of us has to make a sacrifice when it comes to family and for the time being, it makes more sense for me to live there. We have plans to come back to Australia at some point, though.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. My wife, who is from Austria, and I were married overseas for that reason and then came here. We didn't have an immigration lawyer or anything and we had no problems at all.

Getting married in MN was easy. We needed to register, had a 5 day waiting period and then we got married. No questions asked or anything, just showed them my passport and filled out a form.
