Beans on toast? That sounds too starchy for me.
Several years back, Pizza Hut was selling a mexican pizza that was basically their thick greasy dough, with refried beans smeared over it. I made the mistake of trying a slice and almost hurled. It tasted like I was eating a bag of flour. However, I love hummus on toasted pita. I guess it too is basically beans on bread, but when you mix up some hummus it almost tastes like a cheese spread. | |
