There's a few songs I'd like played at my funeral...and they'll be at full blast! None of this quiet sombre shit.
"Bright Eyes: 'Art Garfunkel "The Rainbow Connection" -Kermit the Frog "True Colors" -Cyndi Lauper "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" -Lou Reed. In that order. I'd also like a Prince song for my send-off, but I don't know which one. There's so many! I want balloons and flowers -happy shit with lots of colour. After the funeral, everyone's gonna have a big, 3-day long wake! "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

TheMadMonkey said: I want no silly funeral...just dump my body in a canyon (we have one here) and go about your regular business.
But......if there must be some kind of death ritual, then party it up...then go about your regular business. As for music...so help me...if there's anything played that can be line-danced to, I will come back from the dead and kill all who participated...heed my warning... <--makes a note that MM would like the macarena played during visitation.....

Probably my favourite sad song ever. I'd play that and "Songs About Rainbows" first. I love those songs, and my family has this weird tradition about playing at least one song the deceased thought was sad. So it's more for them than me. Then I'd pick up the pace with something for me: Ms. Lauper's "True Colors" because it always makes me happy, then Lou Reed's "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" because it's very "me". I want a Prince song for my grande exit (heh) but I'm not sure what. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
