Yowsa ((and I'm serious this time!))

Omfg I woke up this morning and my cellphone service was cut off...I haven't been late in paying my bill so I called Cingular and those fuckers told me my service had been cut off because they suspected my phone had been stolen! eek

I said nope it's right here restore my service please innocent

They said ok give us $679.09

I said omfg WHAT???!!!

They said give us $679.09 please batting eyes

I said hmm fine...

Give them my debit card # and they said: Ok we will bill you for $812.00

I said omfg WHAT???!!!

They said well just to make sure that payment for next month will be made.

I was like confuse

I ask why the bill is so high...

They said roaming charges..yadda yadda yadda (apparently I get charged roaming if I leave my backyard even though I have a nationwide plan mad)

What could I do? I paid it, now I'm REALLY FUCKING BROKE and the worst part is now I definitely can't go to California or Kansas for a while now fit bheart

Comfort me... hug

I would dispute it. If you're on a national plan you shouldn't be charged for roaming. Kansas has Cingular towers. I know because I used to use Cingular myself. Plus you didn't even hardly use your phone while you were here. Somethings rotten in Denmark.

I know nod

When they send the bill to me I'll see what the charges were for and I'll fight it. I just wanted my service restored.

I just subtracted the new total from the original total to come up with that $133.

Maybe you should buy a Sam's Club prepaid card and talk long distance on a land line. If you buy enough minutes long distance is practically free and then you wouldn't need such a huge cell phone plan.

hmmm

That 133 included min I used this month and the reconnection fee.

and that's not a bad idea that way i could use my landline.

You are SO smart! hug kotc rose

I used to have that. But I talked too much and ended up spending close to $100 a week on those stupid top upcards. I talk to Pill and Byron constantly so that wouldn't work for me now. pout

Whatta load of crap!! I'd be so pissed, I would be raising all kinds of hell if I were you. In fact, since they took it upon themselves to turn off your service WITHOUT CONTACTING YOU TO SEE IF YOU HAD REPORTED IT STOLEN, I would tell them to take a flying leap.

Go to another cell sevice provider, explain what happened, and see if they won't give you a competitive deal. There are just too many companies out there fighting for your dollar for any one of them to be treating you that way.

Part of the reason it was so high is because I went over my text message limit too.

I work for a mobile (cell) phone airtime provider in UK and trust you do get screwed especially when it comes to billing. And when you get your bill it looks like it is written in some ancient script. Don't stand for no shit and get 'em to explain.
