Ugh! Unbelieveable! If the bag is that much of an issue I can get him a cheap bag that's just as ugly as that one at Walmart for a hell of a lot less and send it to him and he'd still have enough money left over for a weekend in Spain. But for God's sake, why the hell would anyone spend that much money on a freakin' hand bag!!!? disbelief

I would go for the bag. I am sort of a handbag freak anyway, although I think that LV one is butt ugly. I would choose something totally different. I travel a lot and could go to Spain anytime, therefore I'd choose the bag because I would get more use out of it. shrug

Does it really matter? It's still a ridiculous amount to pay for a hand bag.

Sounds like a pretty easy decision to me. You'd get more out of the trip then you would the purse.

It is expensive, but I would still take a really well-made handbag over a weekend in Marbella.

Now if the vacation was somewhere else, I might have to think a bit harder about it.... hmmm

What are you more likely to hear:

"Remember the fun we had on that trip to the south of Spain 30 years ago!?"

or

"Do you remember that hand abg you bought 30 years ago?"
