My Back Hurts.... ...and I can't do anything about it.
I bought those Icy Hot patch thingamadoodles, the ones you place on your back at the sore spots that hang onto you all day...but where my back is sore is next to impossible to reach. I was putting my body in all sorts of contorted positions, my right foot on the wall, my left one on the table, my shirt pulled up over my head while my arm bent awkwardly backwards trying to place the stinkin' think halfway up the left side of my back....only to have it bunch up on me and roll off my skin when I pulled my shirt back down... Things like this are one of the overlooked aspects of being alone...lol Any suggestions besides a hot shower as how to deal with a sore back???

Either that or Thai massage.

I cant really give you any advice accept the obvious stuff about gentle stretching etc. However, I can at least sympathise with you as I have had back pain now for 2 weeks and it is really annoying. I'm not sure how I strained it but it is stiff and sore.
Oh yeah, beer does help. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

If a muscle thing u must exercise to get better.. sounds wrong but usually true..sleeping is the worst thing u can do as muscles seize up even more-also don't sleep in drafts (u know with windows open) if windy night- sometimes thats bad!
Oh yeah, try and avoid leaning forward to reach stuff as that strains it Hope not too obvious- maybe some protein (like eggs) may help a little! I think prptein repairs muscles.....

Ok, well something that doesn't require me to make an appointment for 2 weeks away, pay ridiculous amounts of money, and read 13 year old Golf Digest magazines while I wait...

Oh yeah, beer does help. Yeah, it is irritating, alright.... And you, Sweeny and 9s all think getting shnockered is the answer...I better look into buying some wine here soon. For medicinal purposes, of course...

Hmm...I had not heard of the "protein" solution...I'm thinking, though, that laying down is NOT helping at all... Thank you for the advice...
