Did You Ever Feel Like Working For Somebody Else Is Not Your Cup of Tea? That is how I feel right now, for a variety of reasons. How does a person get past these feelings, when they know that they HAVE to work for somebody else, and just flat out quitting is not an option. I would appreciate your insight on this. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

It really isn't for everyone....most of the things in life we are basically taught and led through life to do is not for us all....I am trying to start my own business and I have had my own businesses before while I worked a full time job. None of my previous atttempts have taken off but I will still try because I would rather bust my ass for myself and something I want than some company or employer who really doesn't give a rats ass about me. If you are unhappy just working try to find yourself a biz on the side you can do that maybe will take off to the point where A: you don't have to work full time....you can work part time and part time on your biz or B: Invest your time and resources completely into a biz you are interested in....I prefer to not put all my faith in starting a biz since the failure rate is so high but I have no problem doing it while I have full time employment its less risky... [This message was edited Tue Jul 13 13:35:22 2004 by Sinister] well put! having been down that road before, working P/T while trying to start a business, and then falling flat on my face, i would have to say that a huge step is assessing your personal strengths and weaknesses, and then trying to match up with a partner who complements you. it's hard to start out as a one-person business, and working with somebody else will ease the burden. if i had done that, i would have seen that i needed somebody on the sales and marketing side, since that's just not my thing. good luck, Nancy - i know you'll find the right career move (and i have a sneaking suspicion it will include animals!)

I feel it everyday when I go to my job... Specially since they've been firing all the wrong people and letting the bastards get away with everything. &

anyhow, I understand how awful it must be to be working in a cubicle for, like, minumum wage, but would you like your job better if you worked for a small business? I mean, like, where is the sun?
