I last got punched two years ago in a pub. It was acoustic night and it was full of old hippies playing their guitars.
To cut a long story short, George W. Bush had been getting on my nerves that day, so I grabbed the microphone and launched into an insane rap which culminated in me screaming: "Bomb the White House!" There was a humourless American in the audience who looked like John Denver. Anyway, yadda, yadda, yadda, he told me to shut up, so I said "make me" then there was a scuffle and some rugby players from Wigan punched me. I never back down. It's silly, I know, but I can't. I'd rather die trying. | |
