END SCENE: CARLITO'S WAY
"Sorry boys, all the stitches in the world can't sew me together again. Lay down... lay down. Gonna stretch me out in Fernandez funeral home on hun and ninth street. Always knew I'd make a stop there, but a lot later than a whole gang of people thought. Last of the Mo-Ricans, well maybe not the last...Can't come with me on this trip loaf. Getting the shakes now, Last call for drinks, Bars closing down... Sun's out... Where are we going for breakfast, don't wanna go far.. Rough night.. Tired baby...Tired..." LISTEN TO IT | |

There's such a long list and so many of them come from the film "Life Is Beautiful". Roberto Benigni has been one of my favorite actors for years before that movie came out. It was interesting to see such a dramatic side of him.
"Life Is Beautiful" speaks volumes about selfless love and sacrifice. I can actually get teary-eyed just thinking about several of the scenes. Seriously - if you've never seen it and you don't mind subtitles, GO RENT THIS MOVIE NOW!!! Just a warning - it's incredibly depressing, but worth it. "We're all members of the animal kingdom

1) Roy Batty's (played by the excellent Rutger Hauer) death scene at the end of Ridley Scott's untouchable Blade Runner:
'I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams... glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those... moments will be lost... in time, like tears... in rain. Time... to die.' Rutger Hauer actually wrote this scene himself about 20mins before they were due 2 shoot, and presented it 2 Ridley Scott 4 possible inclusion. The rest is history - one of the best, emotive and descriptive scenes ever commited 2 celluloid in my opinion. 2) Good Will Hunting: 'It's ok...' 'I know...' 'no - it's ok - it wasn't your fault...' Man, that scene really hit me for SIX! 3) Vanilla Sky: 'I'll see u in the next life...when we are both cats!' (and the scene where they meet again in the park in the autumn - that moved me too - im SUCH a sap!) 4) The Colour Purple: 'CELIE!!!!' (AndyKeen - u HAVE 2 see this movie!) 5) The Iron Giant: 'Superman...' 6) Moulin Rouge - when Nicole Kidman sings 'One Day I'll Fly Away'. I so didnt expect 2 enjoy this film - but she was amazing, I love it. 7) Blue Velvet - Dennis Hopper's maniacal 'Frank': 'I'll send you a love letter! Straight from my heart, fucker! You know what a love letter is? It's a bullet from a fucking gun, fucker! You receive a love letter from me, you're fucked forever! You understand, fuck? I'll send you straight to hell, fucker! Lovely. 9) Ringu - THAT bit. (if u have seen it, you'll know what I mean - if u aint, I wont spoil it 4 ya) 10) The Elephant Man - John Hurt is AWESOME in this film (Another one 4 u 2 check out Andy!) 11) CE3K - Where the 'mothership' creeps up over Devil's Tower... 12) ANYTHING with Phillip Seymour Hoffman in (yet to see him play a bad role) 13) End credits of Graffiti Bridge. etc etc...ill stop now.
