My all-time favorite comic book ever of all time is TRANSMETROPOLITAN, though I've been down with Green Arrow for the past couple of years.

Love comics-especially the graphic novels.

Favorite hero and villian-Batman and the Joker. In my mind no rivalry can be matched.

Favorite graphic novels-Frank Miller's work with Batman is what comic book writing should aspire to. It's incredible. Some of the Justice League books are great-especially the one where Batman's kept tabs on everyone-they find out and he's left with the reaction. Batman graphic novels tend to be great-going back to an earlier favorite-A Lonely Place of Dying. Another must read is the No Man's Land series. Gotham is turned into a disaster area and goes to hell. They'd make a great film.

If you haven't ever read any of The Sandman series-you should. Book One and on, I'm a big Neil Gaiman fan. I could sit and read a whole collection of those cover to cover.

Bone is another series worth checking out. More on the cartoon side, but entertaining.

Hard not to find good work out there. cool

Yeah, I a huge comic book freak.....not as much as I used to be though. Stopped collecting about 5-8 years ago. But I still keep up with current storylines, plots, characters, etc. as much as I can.

Ones that I collected on a regular basis, were Spider-Man, X-Men (and all related books), Superman, Spawn, Green Lantern, Witchblade, Gen13, Batman, Sandman, Danger Girl, WildCATS, and Aliens vs. Predator.....

Bought my first comic in 1976 as an 8 year old.... how I miss comics that cost a quarter.

I currently read a mix of DC & Marvel books and all of the Star Wars books by Dark Horse.

My favorite hero is Ironman. At first, because we shared the same first name. Ulitmately, because he was a hero who had faults. He was able to work with/through his faults and still maintain his superhero identity.

Favorite villain is a different story, I'm kind of old school. I dislike most of the modern villains (Doomsday, Bane, Gog, etc). I like the Joker because he seems to be Batman's polar opposite. Add to the fact that they've made him more ruthless in the past decade, it just make him that much more unlovable.

I have been really dissapointed in the direction of the X-men books....I still buy them but some of the current storylines are odd and aren't going anywhere and man what the hell are they doing with the characters?!? I understand progression but lawd! They are completely forgetting about powers, and personality all together....

Even John Stewart isn't as good as Hal was. I think the Justice League series on Cartoon Network beefs up his character a little too much.

As far as DC Comics go, I haven't got all that much - mostly just what my favorite Marvel artists did for DC. Like The New Teen Titans by Marv Wolfman and George Péres; Batman and the Outsiders by Alan Davis; Legion of Super-Heroes by Keith Giffen; Superman by John Byrne; Batman stories by the likes of Doug Moench and Paul Gulacy, Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, and Alan Davis; Justice League International and Europe by Keith Giffen and co.; Green Lantern & Green Arrow by Neal Adams and such and stuff. biggrin

I'm looking forward to getting started on Neal Adams' Batman stuff. drool
