That's too bad. It would have been cool if he got at least another 10 years. I'm glad he at least did The Score. He was still great in that. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Sad news, although I'm almost more surprised it took him this long to die. He had quite an unhealthy diet, to say the least. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Man this is the first I'm hearing of this, thanks for the news Pejman..... Brando, a true great in the theatrical domain and on the screen. So many modern greats were were influenced. Marlon Brando (Terry Malloy): "It wasn't him, Charley, it was you. Remember that night in the Garden you came down to my dressing room and you said, "Kid, this ain't your night. We're going for the price on Wilson." You remember that? "This ain't your night"! My night! I coulda taken Wilson apart! So what happens? He gets the title shot outdoors on the ballpark and what do I get? A one-way ticket to Palooka-ville! You was my brother, Charley, you shoulda looked out for me a little bit. You shoulda taken care of me just a little bit so I wouldn't have to take them dives for the short-end money." Marlon Brando (Terry): " You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been someone Charley, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it. I'm a bum. It was you, Charley." Rezpec'z Brando..... "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Well, I think to a few scenes that I latched onto in different stages of my life:
Superman: His intro was awesome in that movie. I played it so many times as a kid it's burned into my brain. The Godfather: His opening scene and his last scene were gigantic. Julius Caesar: If you have not seen him as Marc Antony, you must. Despite a towering performance by James Mason, his eulogy of Caesar simply sets it off. I'm sad to see him go. I think he actually died a long time ago, but he was brought back in some profane ceremony. He's lived so long because he is actually a re-animated corpse!!! "I had only a small part in Superman, but since it was a popular movie and my contract gave me 11.3 percent of the gross, I made about $14 million for less than three weeks' work. When Alexander and Ilya Salkind, the producers, asked if they could use footage from the picture in a sequel, Superman II, I asked for my usual percentage, but they refused, and so did I." - Marlon Brando, Jor-El.

This is sad news. I recommend everyone who is a movie lover to go out and rent some Brando films. He was such an amazing actor. I've seen all his films and have loved many of them. The media is calling Sean Penn the next Brando. I have to agree! Penn's last few movies have been incredible. His acting skills get better with age. Mystic River and 12 Grams are two of the best films I seen in the past couple of years. I hope Sean continues to make great movies and never goes totally hollywood like so many others do. Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp could've been contenders, but they've both gone so hollywood and it reflects in the so-so movies they've both recently made. Too bad cause they both have such great potential.

a one of a kind!!! a natural when it cam e to acting... he had style! Amazes me when someone being dogged by the masses wants to dog someone else. It's as if they will feel better if they are at least "better than" that person. We all the same stop with the greater than, less than mentality. - TheC
