Well, the flip side of the question is: Why are so many guys jerks who play off of certain women's insecurities and keep them bound in exploitive relationships?

When those relationships end and the women finally give good men a chance, they're too scarred to know how to trust, interact or grow with us. And, while we're at it, let's analyze why some nice men continually attract such scarred women...

I find that many women out there are pretty messed up when it comes to relationships & other hang ups. Females tend to spend all their time worrying about appearances, fashion, make up, self esteem issues & who their boyfriend is perving on etc. Here's news girls, we have eyes for a reason, and the day we stop looking is the day we die. Many couples are in unhealthy relationships and most of the time stay in them because of habit, low esteem issues and afraid of being alone. Hang ups are spawned from competing & jealousy with other females for male attention.

That is why, as a female, most of my closest friends are males. They are better friends and BS is avoided. Results of that are no hang ups, no bitches talking about me when I leave the room and nothing but pure friendship.

let me just clarify: I am NOT saying that i don;t think women in these situations should not get help.

I am NOT saying that women in these kinds of relationships deserve what they get.

I am NOT saying that these women are idiots.

what i AM saying is that i have a hard time being around these kinds of women. it just drives me up the wall to have to hear the same old shit over and over and then watch them stay their despite what their friends and families are trying to do to help them out. after a while I just have to distance myself from the whole thing.

I've been there with friends before so, despite crazyhorse's assuption, i am NOT ignorant. i am actually SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE (imagine!) The reason why i said that i have a hard time being around women like this is because i've nevr been around a man in such a situation. watch who you call straight fucking stupid.
