Jimi Hendrix for 3 major reasons:
1. He's the reason i'm a guitarist today. 2. He made it alright for a black youth (me at the time), to feel comfortable (sorta) openly showing my appreciation for rock music. 3. This particular pic's color matched the org's color scheme. tA  Tribal Disorder

simple as that really. i'm going to expand. i fell in love with Michigan J Frog when i saw one of the only cartoons which ever featured him (real old school) and hunted them down on video. Then, in the way that kids do, i decided to collect things featuring MJF. So when in the US i found an awesome T-shirt with a huge MJF on the front in a Warner Bros. store (which i still wear sometimes), a glass, a mirror, keyring, soft toys - all that sort of stuff. the mirror is great. frog's mouth is wide open - and the inside of that is the mirror. why? i dunno. i love the way he's so outrageously talented and so modest with it, refusing to perform for others. and cheeky too - taunting his owner by singing whenever he is alone, and then making him look a berk by just croaking in public whenever his owner says, "look at how great this frog is! it can sing opera!" and this avatar is the performing side of Michigan J Frog. With a wry grin.  | |
