I remember last christmas I was bidding for something on E-bay and there was this one person who kept raising the bid! mad

Finally I won! woot! But it turned out to be my girlfriend who I was bidding against. confused

I had told her about it, but she didn't know I was bidding for it. disbelief

I've sold before. It's really simple, quite fun actually (as long as you don't run into trolls).

how much extra did you end up paying?

i had an experience wherei was bidding for a lovely iron bed. i was winning right till the end..till someone outbid me by a pound. i was gutted. if i had found out it was someone i knew..i would have kicked their ass.

MrJoker

I've had a few transactions on eBay myself. I'm selling off a Pentium III 533 MHz processor with heat sink and dual fans right now. And I actually have someone with one bid on it! biggrin

those copies of ONA on e-bay sell for some crazy-ass prices. it's a good little EP, but it ain't the ark of the covenant. i think people go all into a cabbage patch doll frenzy and get caught up in the consumerist hunt, and forget about what they're actually bidding for. but hey - it can only help the reputation of this album and make prince look even better, so like whatevs...

Yeah, I was ahamed of myself after I finally got it. I had heard some samples at the club and was intrigued, then all of a sudden the samples were gone and he wasn't offering it in the retail part of the club. So, I got all obessive about it. I have bidded on it when it was going for much more than I paid for it and was like FUCK THAT!! Anything over a hundred is WAY TOO MUCH!! eek I did pay $50 for the one I bidded for. redface

I've seen those suckers go for over a hundred bucks on eBay...whenever I've bought out of print music from there, I always set a limit as to how much I'll pay and if they go over the limit, I just keep tryin'. I've yet to pay more than twenty bucks for anything I've sought out...but then again, I'm sure there's not a heap of demand for OOP Swans, Sandra Bernhard and Tragic Mulatto CDs.... lol
