Expressing one's feelings

Do you think it's better to tell someone how you really feel about them or is it better just to keep it locked-up inside so one doesn't end-up making a ass out of theirself? what's your opinion?

personally, I'd like to think that I can express myself and my emotions freely to someone if I feel comfortable enough to do that, but I'd advise you to be REALLY REALLY sure the other person is ready for it, otherwise it could backfire...just my 2c worth rose

I agree, totally...I'm all for expressing your feelings, it's just that I've done it and it did actually backfire - I wouldn't want to see the same thing happen to you, that's all wink

it all depends on how the person will take it you're expressing yourself to...

The risk U take is rejection. If U can handle any answer or response from other party then go ahead and spill out ur feelings, but in my honest opinion let them do the chasing. If they are interested in U genuinely then they will put up a great chase n' fight. If not, not worth even thinking about. Crushes are fun but can leave U feeling slightly crushed if ur rejected. My advice is let em' do the chasing.nod

With honesty you can never lose.

It's oft-stated that you should be honest, but you just can't stress it enough. It's amazing how much easier life gets, in the sense of your peace of mind, when you simply tell the truth.

Honesty is always the best policy if you live by it. Not if you're always ducking in and out of honesty and dishonesty. Then you make it necessary to tell little white lies quite often. BUT, if you make it something you live by, honesty sees u right.

Just my humble opinion.
