Fish Tank Cleaning Day... The worst part of keeping aquariums... Spending the day soaked in stinky dirty water and getting bitten and splashed by huge cranky fish... Anybody else have fish? Tell me about them! Show me pictures! It makes all this work worthwhile...  I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Plecos, algae eaters, various catfish, we have 'em all... Still, the tanks need to be cleaned often. The fish are dirty creatures...  I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Smallest and least impressive tanks done first. Sorry for bad pictures, but these small tanks are nothing really to see anyway.

Medium sized tanks done too:
Swordtails and Guppies (sorry for the crappy blurry picture but my camera sucks...): http://img.villagephotos....l02335.JPG Also a similar tank with fancy Mollies, but the lighting is bad in that one and the pictures wouldn't come out. One more medium tank and then the big ones... It's getting more and more fun as the hours go by...  I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I had a convict... I loved him dearly. He would spend hours moving the rocks, one by one, to another area of the tank, creating tunnels and what-not. Then, I'd go in, after he was done, and clean the tank... he'd have to start all over again. He was a beautiful fish... sigh.
Then, one day, he started to swim sideways. Then he tipped a bit more. Then, I transferred him to a bowl and gave him CPR with an eyedropper and nose unplugger thing. He didn't live. 
Never got another fish again. | |

Whew, another tank done. This used to be our goldfish tank for almost a whole year, but it's currently being used as a holding tank for all the young fish that are too small to go in with the big ones yet or too aggressive to be kept with any others. Current tally: 2 baby Blood Parrot Cichlids, 1 full-grown (4") Blue Gourami, 1 baby long-finned tiger Oscar, 1 young Blue Channel Catfish, and trapped in that green breeder tank up in the corner is our super-evil baby Green Terror, who loves to kill things and make trouble...

We have a total of 9 fully functional tanks up and running right now. We used to have more, but the landlord turned off the heat during Christmas time while we were away and we lost about half our fish to the cold... We have a whole pile of spare tanks too. We have lots of fishies.  I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Now I suppose the Oscars and their friends (other huge similar fish) are the most dangerous to handle in our collection. I wouldn't wanna bite them back. They're all slimy and fishy. Ick...

I've never seen one of those. Sounds nifty, though. I've seen them inside old-fashioned gumball machines, tvs, and replicas of cartoon scenes. Never inside a Mac though. I don't think my fishies would fit in one of those... I reject your reality and substitute my own.
